What is the International Early Years Curriculum IEYC

The International Early Years Curriculum is an innovative approach, recognising global best-practice and the developmental needs of 2-5 years old. All learning and development goals focus around five Learning Strands:

  • Independence and Interdependence
  • Communicating
  • Enquiring
  • Healthy Living
  • Physical Well-Being

Children learn through play and more importantly, through play, they learn how to learn. Every experience our youngest students go through opens a new door; they start with exploring and finish with expressing their new understandings. This cycle of impress, explore and express is repeated every day with every new piece of the topic-puzzle.

International Early Years Curriculum

At this stage the development goals are skill-based. The learning is conceptualised and the children do not have subjects. The day is organised as one big adventure with one big goal. In order to achieve that goal, our students have to communicate through numbers, letters, dance or art, that’s how they create the new, colourful and exciting kindergarten world.
